South Walton County Home Maintenance

I was new to the area and had just purchased an older home in Navarre Beach. The house and the yard both required some serious work, so I asked around the neighborhood for a general contractor and handyman to help me out. After hearing so many wonderful things about South Walton County Home Maintenance, I decided to give them a try. I figured there was a reason they had been in business for so long and I was right! They are awesome! They are certified green professionals who have been serving Walton County and the entire Florida Panhandle for over 25 years.

They performed every service I requested and made suggestions for weatherproofing my home and maintaining it in a coastal climate. Considering I’m originally from Idaho, this information was definitely useful.

I had some plumbing work, a roof repair, some concrete poured in my driveway and a lot of other miscellaneous repairs throughout the house. They completed all the various projects in a very timely manner and the work was done right. I was highly impressed with the courtesy and efficiency of their employees, and with their environmentally sound practices. It felt good to hire professionals who care about the Earth.

After my experience with these guys, I’m more than satisfied with their performance. This agency went far beyond my expectations for a contracting company. They are polite, efficient, fast, and affordable. If I ever wanted home repairs or renovations in the future, these are the people I’ll hire to do it. If anyone else moves into the neighborhood and asks me for a recommendation, I’ll give them their number. I can’t imagine an agency that could surpass them.

If you’re a Walton County resident and could use general contracting or small repairs on your property, there’s no question on who to ask for repairs. Choose Sound Venture Inc. for the best service imaginable.

Navarre Beach Home Repair

I have several rent houses in the Navarre Beach area, and even though I am pretty handy, I can’t keep up with the maintenance on them myself anymore. I’ve been using Sound Venture, Inc. for a while now, and am always surprised at the range of things that they are able to do. When I had to have repairs or maintenance done on the homes before, I ended up using specialty contractors for each job, so I would have to have 3 or 4 different companies come in on some of the houses. After a tenant moves out, I usually have to change out the carpet, have sheet rock repaired, painting, etc., and scheduling multiple companies was a huge headache. Since Navarre Beach Home Repair can do it all, they work out the details of what crews should come out and work, and there are never any scheduling conflicts or problems with workers getting in each others way.

So far, they have not only done make-ready work, they have done repairs big and small on the homes that I rent. One house had an A/C line that leaked through the ceiling, down into the wall, and into the floor. They fixed the HVAC system, pulled out the insulation, sheetrock, and carpet that was damaged, and replaced it all. At another home, they installed hurricane shutters and new windows for me, and helped me design and install a new patio at another. Being able to work with one person at one company is amazing. They know me by name, and know the type of work that I like, so I don’t have to ‘train’ a new contractor for every job that I have.

These houses are my livelihood, and I try my best to keep them in great shape for the people that I rent to. Using this company has been one of the smartest moves I have made for my business.

Destin Handyman

Before selling our house, a real estate agent recommended getting some repairs and refurbishing done, and so I wound up on the market for a Destin Handyman who could do a little bit of everything. After some looking around, I ended up asking the guys at Sound Venture, Inc. to come out and take a look at the home to offer some suggestions and estimates on getting our house ready to put on the market. I had a few ideas of what should be done, but wanted a professional opinion on what was the best investment to make.

My house is in Destin, Florida and they were local to me, so they were able to come out quickly, and they were really nice about working around my work schedule. We went over the things I definitely wanted done (freshening up the stucco, new cabinets and counter tops in the kitchen, and replacing the carpet) and then I just asked the guy to take a look around give me his honest opinion on the rest of the house. I was really surprised that he didn’t just start making a laundry list of tasks to be fixed or fixed up.
He recommended getting some maintenance done to HVAC system on the house to help the air quality and doing some basic weatherproofing to help offer a more energy efficient home to a new buyer. Although I wasn’t necessarily in the market for a ‘green’ contractor, after he went over all of the things that can be done to a house to save on energy costs, I was pretty happy that they were. I hadn’t even thought about offering a long-term solution like energy efficient upgrades to potential buyers.

In the end, they fixed everything I asked for, within the budget we had set. The real estate agent even complimented us on the repair choices, and our house sold faster than I expected.
